We have now wrapped up the 2024-2025 athletics calendar. It was quite the year for the Leaman Chargers who have experienced a record year of success both on and off the field, court and track! In the fall we started the year out strong with football and volleyball. With over 340 football players in the program, we got to work and managed to send 5 of the 6 football teams to the district championship games taking home 2 of the trophies. The volleyball program went undefeated from start to finish, top to bottom and brought home all 4 district championship trophies this year! In Cross Country we had 8 Top 10 finishers at the district meet with both girls teams taking home 2nd and our 8th grade boys bringing home 3rd with our 7th grade boys in 4th. In the wintertime we got out the basketballs! Our basketball program between the girls and boys lost only 1 game during the regular season going an astounding 39-1 in district play. All 8 teams made the championship games and we brought 6 of the championship trophies home. When the springtime hits we move towards the track! We set 2 new girls track & field records and had 6 individual event district champions to go with 4 1st place finishes in relays. We also had 3 new boys records this year, 11 individual event district champions and 2 relay 1st place finishers. To go along with all the individual success, the 7th and 8th grade girls placed 2nd and 3rd overall respectively. The 8th grade boys took 2nd overall and the 7th grade boys took home the track district championship! Once track season was over we moved back to the pitch for some soccer action. The girls program completed their undefeated district championship season scoring 66 goals while only giving up 5. The boys program scored 23 goals while giving up 11 on the season and won a hard fought match in the championship game requiring 10 penalty kicks to decide the winner! All said and done, the Leaman Chargers added 15 district championships to the trophy case this year. We can’t wait to see everything that we can accomplish in the 2025-2026 school year!
